Fall from height

Calcaneal and lumbar spine fractures — check both

Both injuries share the same axial-loading mechanism (a fall from height landing on the feet) — a calcaneal fracture should prompt screening for a concurrent lumbar spine fracture, and vice versa.

Böhler's angle helps assess the calcaneus on a lateral X-ray — normal is roughly 20–40°; an angle below 20° suggests a compression fracture.
